Fanny Bush Forrest Garden - The Idea...I have been developing an idea for years. To create an homestead style, forrest garden that is adapted to a more natural and grounded human existence. The space I will create does not fit into any catergory or follow any rules of any space you will be used to. The space will be a productive, inspiring & recreational garden for a full bodied human experince. My plan is to take guardianship of the land and nurture this now declared, sacred space into existence, for the common good. More than these bold idealologies, our system has gotten silly. This land belongs to the community and it was a public allotment site. It seems the allotment residents were removed for what has turned out to be no good reason and the land remains unused but totally workable. This garden and our peaceful but firm claim upon it is an act of beautiful rebellion, peaceful activism. We live here, the land can be used, we want to use it, people are willing to work it, I am willing to design & develop it... What authority greater than that does a community of grown adults need? I have been speaking to the community here and so long as the majority of the people living here and using the space have no objections I wil begin working the land. Apart from in person, this blog will be the only way to keep up to date with the project and connect with me regarding it. I am collecting local signatures on a Proposal Approval Agreement so far there are 19 signatures. If you would like to offer your support local residents can sign the agreement charter in person (contact me to make arrangements). The Proposal Approval Agreement includes initial sketches of the garden design and caravan base facitlity. (I would like t retain ownership of the caravan and am happy to donate all other resources to the trust) and a land map.
