We have managed to get some things moving this year!

• The caravan was moved to it's final location.
• The brambles and over grown areas have been cut back.
• We have started to build a Community Compost Area.
• Planting has begun.

Slow and steady progress is happening as we create the space using no dig methods an area at a time.

I have advertised sessions that will occur fortnightly or so depending upon the weather between 2-5pm:

• Wednesday Women
• Saturday Community.

Sessions are casual, they are not subject to any offical insurances or the like. I have some tools and equipment but sadly due to a series of break in's we can't leave too much on site over night.

It is probably a good idea to bring your own gloves if you have them!

We don't have a toilet, running water or power so please bring what you need and be prepared to wee in the woods!

Its been a pretty good start.

This week I have had site visits to confirm the caravan will be able to be sited with ease.

The water has been uncovered (thank you to whichever imp did that!) and I have began researching options for rain water collection. I am currently begining the deign and considering the benefits vs the cost.
A rainwater system could take a week or two to prepare so this needs to be considered at the very beginning to save any unecessary work later.

This week I have been busy speaking with residents. So far everyone has been supportive of the idea and I have gathered 19 signatures of support and spoken to several other locals while I haven't had the sheet.

The only concern so far is about security, which is understandable. This is definatley going to be a core part of our design for the project.

This will be my 5th land based project and my strategy and design for it will be a direct result of my previous 4 project experinces.

I hope the local community will trust me to guardian the space and lead the development with a clear vision for a beautiful and enjoyable space.

I will be making connections before any major work starts on site.

I have been developing an idea for years. To create an homestead style, forrest garden that is adapted to a more natural and grounded human existence.

The space I will create does not fit into any catergory or follow any rules of any space you will be used to.

The space will be a productive, inspiring & recreational garden for a full bodied human experince.
